Sometimes we have to participate in our own rescue and choose to love some people at a distance.

Christmas doesn't feel like a holiday anymore. It feels more like a mainstream obligation to buy things for people most likely to buy us things, so we're not embarrassed by the perception of not caring for them. It's a product marketing season that starts earlier every year, replacing Halloween candy on the store shelves with Santa Claus. It's the most insufferable time of the year.

I don't have a lot of time for worry, because I accept that if I'm truly powerless to do something about the situation or change the circumstances; I have an abundance of faith that makes me know I can trust God to work it out.It's not about giving up or not caring, it's more about knowing within my spirit that not all burdens are ours to carry... and I refuse to sacrifice one day of my life over something or someone that only our Creator has the power to change.

Some of our fiercest battles are fought and won in silence.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is to allow others to sort out their own problems, while accepting responsibility for our own, hoping we love each other enough to offer support when it's needed.

Forgive the naysayers for only being able to understand things at their own level of perception. We're all different. It's okay that some people are content with looking at their backyard, but you were meant to see the world.

It is a great sign of emotional maturity, when you can point a finger at another person's behavior, yet also realize that there are three more fingers pointing back at you.

When you decide to reclaim your personal power you'll be talked about... told that you've changed, that you've somehow "lost the plot" or that you think you're better than others; but, that's just human nature. Your job is to realize that negative comments and "backhanded compliments" say more about the person speaking them, than about who you are. When people label you, they're seeking to define you... you're above all that.

Accept that not everyone will understand you... every soul has a unique signature. It's okay to be temporarily accommodating in situations where you're being helpful and extending kindness and compassion, but you shouldn't change who you are. Live authentically, don't dumb down or dull your shine just to "fit in" or "get along" with anyone, including friends and even family you've outgrown.

Following your inner guidance has a unique power all its own. Even when others can't understand it, you can feel your soul being pulled to the place it truly belongs.
